I got the huge honor to be an Alpha reader for one of my author friends, which was so fun! Normally, when I alpha read, I don’t know the author as a friend until after, but this time I knew the author as a friend first.  Alpha reading always comes with the cool opportunity of reading the story as it unfolds before everyone else, but also the downside of having to wait extra long to read the end of the story.
